And now you sing.
You fell into the blackness
And I shed all the tears
That I would ever have.
Hearts were broken
Forever
Un-beating
I said my last goodbye
And left nothing but a rose
For the boy I loved
Hearts were broken
Forever
Un-beating
Life went black
With nothing but a letter
In the darkness
Hearts were broken
Forever
Un-beating
And then one day I found your song
And the world went soft
Just for a moment
And hearts still broken
Skipped a beat
And now I hear your voice
Three years on
With nothing but a button
Now you sing
Love
Love does not fade
Not like a burnished flower
Withering with age
Memories do not drift away
Upon the gentle breeze
Like tendrils of lonely smoke
Lost across the seas
And so although our time is done
And lonely hours sealed

when do memories turn to dream
When do memories turn to dreams?
When does it become too late
To say the goodbye you never did?
And when you are alone and awake
Is it wrong to still feel the last embrace?
Though years pass and seasons turn
Is the moment gone or never forgotten?
Is it wrong to stand in a lonely crowd
And watch each face for the one you yearn?
At what point is the memory lost
Of the precious end you did not realise
Do you ever move on to a distant dream
Or always are you counting the unspoken cost?
